This beautiful miniature brass coal scuttle was probably used originally to hold the fireplace match lighters or smaller bits of kindling, but now with the brass mesh insert it would make a great mount for a floral display or a great mantle piece with a few blocks of coal resting on top to give the illusion of a full bucket.
